“Dave” Gets Zumo 550 Navigation System

No Maps for Me (I hope)

I’m headed to Bartels Harley-Davidson this morning to get my new Garmin Road Tech Zumo 550 GPS system installed.  I hope this device will simplify navigation, especially getting to TV stations, fire stations, and YMCA’s in the cities and towns I’ll be visiting.  The HD group on Linked gave it a pretty good recommendation.  At the end of the trip I’ll be able to post a good review.

I’l try and post some pictures and videos of the installation.

Become Part of the Tour de USA Pony Express

The Tour itself is 46 days and I don’t believe many people could take the time off the ride the full event.  It would be great, however, if riders could meet me along the way and ride to the local TV station at the end of that day’s segment.  A group of motorcyclists always makes an interesting news bite.

Make a Small Donation

If you can’t ride, please visit our fundraising site and make a small donation.  All donations $25 and over will receive a commemorative patch for the ride.

Best regards,  Robert

PS:  If you are a man 35 and over, begin testing your PSA and tracking the result yearly.  If you don’t have insurance or for some reason don’t wish to visit your doctor, you can have the PSA test done at home for $25.99.  Just visit bloodtestathome.com and order the PSA testing kit.  At checkout, enter the cost “psausa” and you will receive a 15% discount.  If the result is positive, be sure and visit your doctor.

Hoping to purchase a bike again within the month. I want to join you in Springfield, IL on Aug 16th and ride to Indy or Columbus with you. My son lives in Columbus. Hope to meet up with you.
