Well, it’s official. I will be having arthroscopic surgery on my knee in the fall to repair that torn meniscus. I’m delaying the surgery so that I can ride the first annual Alpe d’Huez prostate cancer awareness ride on July 12th, 2009. Combined with our prostate cancer awareness Tour de Skyline Drive at the end of August – and my business – it looks like surgery in October. So, I’ve officially decided to do the Tour de USA 2010 by motorcycle. Anyone out there who would like to join me on any of these events, just send contact me at Robert.Hess@29000men.org and I’ll send you the details. Remember our moto: Test. Track. Treat. Live.
I am a prostate cancer survivor, Class of 2003, retired Army officer, business owner, Senior Fellow at the Center for the Digital Future, Annenberg School, USC, USA Cycling coach, amateur competitive cyclist, Harley Davidson enthusiast, and writer.
